Port Macquarie Academy of Music was established in 1992 by Anne & Michael Russell to provide affordable, quality music tuition to students of all ages and abilities.
Teachers are accredited in their respective instruments, have numerous years of experience in the music industry, and are working with children approved. We pride ourselves on only employing trained music teachers who also have experience as performing musicians.
We offer various lesson format options for piano, keyboard, guitar, singing and drums and all lessons include a music theory component to ensure the student's music education is complete. Our introductory music courses for preschoolers are the weekly Mini Musos classes in the Academy concert hall.
Modern, well-equipped studios, various performance opportunities, music games, apps, and internet technologies enhance every student's learning experience.
The Academy of Music is approved as a national examination centre for Australian & New Zealand Cultural Arts Limited (ANZCA) with Anne being the teacher's representative for the Mid North Coast. The Academy of Music is also an approved provider for the 'Creative Kids' program so you can use your child's annual voucher toward music fees.
We are a COVID SAFE business requiring hand washing/sanitizing & QR login before each lesson and mask-wearing & social distancing in accordance with government guidelines. (Additional daily cleaning procedures are in place for the safety of students, staff, and families.)
